Use your Fitbit™ & Garmin™ Pay to make purchases on the go!

That's right. Now you don't have to worry about leaving your wallet at home. Make purchases on the go by using your Fitbit™ or Garmin™. It's simple. Just connect any of your Capital Bank debit cards (except HSA) or business credit cards to your Fitbit™ or Garmin™ to start shopping!


How to setup your Fitbit™ Pay:

Compatible Devices:

  • Fitbit Ionic
  • The models of Fitbit Charge 3 and Fitbit Versa that contain an NFC chip 

To check if your device supports Fitbit Pay:

  • Fitbit Versa: Turn your watch over and look for "Fitbit Pay" in the text surrounding the heart-rate sensor.
  • Fitbit Charge 3: Remove the bottom band and look for "Fitbit Pay" printed on the end of the tracker. 

Setting up Your Fitbit Pay Wallet:

All set-up is done through the Fitbit mobile app. The app allows you to add your card to Fitbit Pay-compatible devices, set a default card for your device, edit a payment method, view recent purchases, and suspend cards on your device.

  • To open the wallet, go to the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account icon, tap your device image, then tap the Fitbit wallet tile. If you don’t see the wallet section in the Fitbit app, log out and log back in to your account.
  • If you haven’t already done so, you’ll also be prompted to set up a PIN for touch ID for the phone that is paired to your watch.
  • The default setting on most devices requires you to enter your 4-digit PIN every time you put the watch on your wrist. The watch will stay in this authenticated mode for 24 hours or until you take it off.
  • Enter your card number, expiration date, and security code.
  • Verify your address and accept the terms and conditions; additional ID&V will be required before you can use the device for purchases.
  • Tap the “activate on ” button in the app to choose the card you want on your watch; you can switch cards at any time in the Fitbit app.
  • You can add up to 6 cards to the wallet (for a Charge 3 device, 5 cards).
  • After you add a card(s), if you haven’t done so already, follow the on-screen instructions to turn on notifications to complete the setup.

How to setup your Garmin™ Pay:

Setting up Your Garmin Pay Wallet:

  • All set up is done from the Garmin Connect mobile app. If you’ve not done so already, download the app on your smartphone. Open the app, go to Garmin devices and choose your watch.
  • Tap Garmin Pay, then tap Create Your Wallet.
  • You’ll be prompted to create a 4-digit passcode to keep the digital wallet on your watch secure. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a passcode.
  • Next, add at least one debit card to your wallet; you can add up to 10 cards.
  • Select the card type; on the next screen you can manually enter your card data or scan the card using your phone’s camera.
  • Accept the issuer’s terms and conditions; additional ID&V/cardholder authentication will be required before you can use the device for purchases.
  • Once the verification and tokenization process is complete, the card will be added to your wallet.
