Capital Bank Technology Upgrade

June 21 - June 24, 2019
 

Beginning at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2019, we will be upgrading several aspects of our technology, which will allow us to continue delivering the high levels of security and dependability you have come to expect.

The upgrade is planned to be completed by Monday, June 24, 2019.

This page highlights how the upgrade may affect you and provides ways to minimize potential disruption.  We thank you, in advance, for your patience!

Branch Hours

All branch offices will be closed on Saturday, June 22, and will resume normal business hours on Monday, June 24.

 

Contact Center Hours

The Contact Center will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, and will re-open for normal business hours on Monday, June 24 at 8:00 a.m.  The Contact Center will be closed on Saturday, June 22.

 

Web Banking, Mobile Banking & Telephone Banking

Balances and history will be updated normally the evening of Friday, June 21, but this information will not update after Friday night for the duration of the upgrade. 

Transfers will be unavailable.  If you have a previously scheduled transfer set to occur during this timeframe, please change to a date before or after the upgrade.

Bill Pay will be unavailable for scheduling new payments or modifying existing payments.  If you have already scheduled payments during this time, they will process normally.

Alerts will not be sent until the upgrade is complete.

Security Questions will need to be re-answered when you log in for the first time after the upgrade is complete.

Statements and/or e-Statements will continue to be sent as usual.  No visible changes will be made.

During the course of the upgrade, there may be intermittent outages.  After the completion of our upgrade, you can expect the following changes:

Account history will include the previous 24 months of account activity going forward.

Any bookmarks or desktop shortcuts you may have used previously will no longer work, and you will need to log in directly from the home page of our website.

 

Debit Cards & ATMs

You will be able to use your debit cards throughout our upgrade weekend, but please note that the daily limits will be $425 for ATM withdrawals and $2,000 for point-of-sale purchases..

Our ATMs will be working normally, with the exception of providing balance inquiries.  Additionally, ATM deposits will be unavailable during the following dates: 

June 17 - June 24: Slingerlands, State Street, Clifton Park, Wolf Road
June 17 - June 26: Schenectady, Wilton
June 18 - June 24: Latham

 

Business Services

Business Banker, Remote Deposit Capture & Business Mobile Banking will be unavailable for the duration of the upgrade beginning Friday, June 21, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. 

All transfers (funds/files/wires), Bill Pay requests, Remote Deposit Capture deposits, and Positive Pay decisions (including Secondary Reviews, if required) must be completed by 2:30 p.m. on June 21.

Bill Pay will be unavailable for scheduling new payments or modifying existing payments.  If you have already scheduled payments during this time, they will process normally.

Alerts will not be sent until the upgrade is complete.

After completion of our upgrade, you can expect the following changes:

Any bookmarks/desktop shortcuts used previously will no longer work, and you will need to log in from the home page of our website.

Your Access ID, Security Token and PIN will remain the same.  If you have not enabled your token, you will be prompted to answer your security questions.

Account history will include the previous 24 months of account activity.

Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) will be integrated with, and accessed through, Business Banker, utilizing the Account Services tab.  The bank will no longer have the ability to remove checks and/or deposits processed in error following the upgrade.

 

Mint.com & Mint app Users

Please do not log in to Mint.com or the Mint app from Thursday, June 20, at 5:00 p.m. through June 28.  During this time, the Mint.com server will be making the system conversion for your activated accounts.  If you log in into Mint.com or the Mint app during this time, you may see duplicate accounts or an error displayed. 

Please do not attempt to change the status or make any changes in Mint.com during this time.  On Friday, June 28, your accounts should display up-to-date information and history.  If your accounts do not display current transactions at this time, click refresh to update. 

 

Quicken Users
